2023 Kassel A Smit Make a Difference Scholarship recipients

 Congratulations to all the Cary HS seniors class of 2023. What an impressive class!

We were honored to recognize two very special students at the Cary HS Awards assembly on Thursday, May 25, 2023 to present the 37th and 38th (over the past 19 years ) Make a Difference scholarships in memory of our youngest son Kassel. Each scholarship is $3000 to help in the vital first year of college.

Congratulations to Katie Broughton and Marco Evans on being selected as this year’s recipients.

We wish you best of luck in your continuing education at Meredith Collage and NC State in the fall.

We were honored to recognize two very special ladies at the Cary HS Awards assembly on Thursday, May 26, 2022 to present the 35th and 36th (over the past 18 years ) Make a Difference scholarships in memory of our youngest son Kassel. Each scholarship is $3000 to help in the vital first year of college.

Congratulations to Sophia Ly and Hailey Baldwin on being selected as this year’s recipients.

2021 Kassel Smit Make a Difference Scholarship Recipients

The Cary HS ‘Prize Patrol’ made it possible in the pouring ran for Kevin and Theresa Smit to present the 2021 Kassel Smit Make A Difference scholarships to 2 Cary HS Seniors.  These are the 33rd & 34th recipient over 17 years!  This year each scholarship is $3000!
